I do love these fabric covered boxes and have bought quite a few lately .
These vary in size and the bottom one has sections and a tray. These are all French.Just the thing for little treasures, sewing items etc, they are decorative in their own right. If you have ever tried to make one yourself you will really appreciate these vintage examples!
They seem to have been really popular in France and often adorn antique textile dealers stalls filled with lace and trims especially the ones that have seen better days, there is a faded elegance to them

These gorgeous printed bias fabrics for trimming are so pretty and just the thing for Spring.they are 1 inch wide. not sure of age or content feel like cotton but think there may be some manmade fibre in some

After a really busy year and a lot of travelling both buying and selling I will be home the next two months working on my busy next years diary and hopefully a lot more goodies for this site, keep checking in!!
